Alex Preda teaches sociology at the University of Edinburgh. He has co-edited The Sociology of Financial Markets (Oxford, Oxford University Press, 2005) together with Karin Knorr Cetina and has published a number of articles on the relationship between knowledge, technology, and financial markets. His current research focuses on the interaction order of online anonymous markets and on the private equity industry.
